Homoeopathic Medicines act by improving one's immunity ,resistance to fight the diseases. It arouses the body's natural curative powers and the body heals on its own. This is more or less a permanent cure.
The term " side effect " means adverse effect , i.e bad effects. In conventional system of medicine the drugs are aimed at a particular system that is affected and aimed to bring relief to the affected system. While doing so in their primary action of providing relief to the affected aystem , they also produce certain other effects on the other system.However these effects are not desirable effects , rather they are undesirable to the body. These are called side effects.Homoeopathic medicines improve the body's general immunity and are not directed to the affected system. The body heals on its own once its immunity improves. It can be used safely both in diseases of recent origin , that is acute disorders and chronic disorders.The pace of action depends on multiple factors like the duration of illness , changes that have occurred within the body, the functions that have been compromised and the fighting capacity of the individual that has been compromised .Also sometimes there may be some obstacles to cure like certain dietary faults on the patient's part or the patient may need some auxiliary mode of treatment along with homoeopathy to augment cure in him/her.

Also in certain cases , not in all, mild aggravation occurs before final relief of the symptoms occurs. But in most of the cases relief occurs without the symptoms getting aggravated.
